Hammers for Veterans

We believe in helping and honoring our veterans in New Hampshire. Veterans make up more than 10% of the state’s population and the number of veterans with disabilities is growing.

What drives us

We believe that every veteran should be able to have a decent quality of life no matter what health issues or disabilities they may have.

Giving Back

This foundation provides a vehicle for the home building industry to give back to the community through charitable giving of its time, resources, and talents.

Renovation Needs

The need for renovation of existing residences to accommodate veterans’ disabilities is great. A wheelchair ramp, a remodeled bathroom, or the widening of doors removes barriers that are in place and impact their quality of life.

Supporting the Deployed

In addition, armed services personnel who are deployed overseas often leave spouses and families at home to fend for themselves. If repair work needs to be done at the existing residence there often is a lack of resources and expertise to accomplish it.

Our Foundation Officers

In partnership with the New Hampshire Home Builders Association, The Builders Care NH Foundation (corporation) is governed by an annually elected board of directors, which establishes operating and policy committees, as it deems necessary.
